Key cybersecurity measures by the Île-de-France region

During her visit to the Campus Cyber in March 2023, Valérie Pécresse, President of the Île-de-France Region, unveiled a series of significant initiatives aimed at strengthening cybersecurity. Protecting businesses' assets, promoting their competitiveness, and fostering value creation are at the core of these efforts. It is important to note that in 2021, more than 50% of businesses in France were victims of cyberattacks.

Launch of a Cybersecurity Program with Two Support Options

The Île-de-France region is initiating a cybersecurity support program that includes two types of grants:

– The “Cyber Diag Voucher” worth €5,000, intended to fund the realization of diagnostics and the development of associated action plans.

– The “Cyber Investment Voucher” of €10,000, conditioned on the completion of a cybersecurity diagnosis, and designed to support investments in this field.

The aim of these grants is to encourage SMEs to address the crucial issue of cybersecurity, to which they are particularly exposed. The Île-de-France region is mobilizing a total budget of approximately €6 million for this program.

Support for the Campus Cyber through the European Digital Innovation Hub “CYBIAH”

A consortium comprising 12 partners, including EPITA, MGP, Hub France IA, and the CCI Île-de-France, collaborates with SMEs to offer awareness-raising actions, continuous and initial training, as well as the development of tailored services and solutions, while providing essential support. The total budget of this consortium amounts to €6 million, with:

– €3 million funded by the European Digital Europe subsidy (subsidy agreement signed in December 2022).

– €2 million funded by the Île-de-France Region through the FEDER Fund, in addition to the €2 million allocated in 2021 to support Great Places of Innovation.

Launch of the CSIRT (Computer Security Incident Response Team)

The announcement of the creation of the CSIRT, a Computer Security Incident Response Team, is on the agenda. This specialized center will be fully operational by the end of 2023 and will be responsible for assisting the most vulnerable intermediate-sized actors in Île-de-France, including SMEs, ETIs, local authorities, public establishments, and associations.
